About Us
Our vision is to be a premier childcare facility that creates positive outcomes for the children and families of Huntington County.
Our mission is to faithfully demonstrate God’s love by providing a learning driven atmosphere in a safe and nurturing environment.
We provide childcare services for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years. In the summer months, we will also take children over the age of 12 if there is another sibling using the daycare facilities. We provide flexible, hourly services for parents including full-time and part-time care rates. In order to ensure that the dietary needs of our kids are being met, we do offer the children 2 well-balanced meals and snacks daily.
Additional activities and programs provided:
- Each class offers circle time, which gives each child an opportunity to talk about current events, the weather, say the pledge of allegiance and/or read a story.
- Transportation to different school districts for a minimum fuel charge
- Supplies for all infants including baby food, baby wipes, infant formula and age appropriate snacks at no additional cost.
- Field Trips for most age groups with little or no cost to parents
- Faith based educational programs through story time, videos and worksheets.
- Regular outdoor activities and exercise.
As a result of these programs and the structure we offer, Little Blessings is able to provide the kids with self-confidence, life skills to become good citizens, love and compassion towards others, tools to make better choices and problem solve and a safe and constant place to grow & learn.
Little Blessing Childcare is a ministry of Christ the King Episcopal Church.
History
Little Blessings opened its doors in May of 2002 as a result of a vision from members of Christ The King Episcopal Church; they saw this as an extension of their ministry in our community. We are a not-for-profit childcare facility devoted to providing a loving, caring and learning atmosphere for all children regardless of race and/or background. The goal of our staff is to help each child discover their true potential as an individual through social interaction and structured activities. Every child will be given the opportunity to make their own decisions and through these procedures, they will learn the importance of their role in society as well as having the opportunity to promote their own spiritual growth.
Our Kitchen – a Unique Offering
Something we want our parents and caretakers to understand — Little Blessings has a kitchen from which we serve two meals every day and two snacks every day (at no extra cost!). The meals and snacks offered to your child are both nutritious and delicious. This is one of the things we offer to children that sets us apart from other daycares.
Meet Our Team
Mrs. Shallie Brown serves as the Director of Little Blessings Childcare. Her philosophy on children and childcare is this:
“My vision is to provide high-quality care at an affordable cost by furnishing a clean, healthy, safe and structured environment in which your child can develop physically, socially, emotionally and intellectually. It’s very rewarding to know and puts a smile on my face everyday knowing that I have impacted children in our community on a daily basis by showing them the love and affection they need to grow and thrive.“
